On 9th December, dozens of student volunteers of Parvaah came together to distribute eco-friendly cloth bags made by underprivileged women workers among the residents of Sarvodaya Enclave, New Delhi and shopkeepers running their businesses in and around the colony so that harmful plastic bags could be replaced. Apart from distributing cloth bags, our volunteers had also urged the vendors and residents to minimize their carbon footprints through carpooling, using public transport more frequently, reducing the use of private cars, planting as many trees as they can and taking other essential measures.
