Senior Care Drive- Davo Old Age Home, Dwarka Sector 16
8th March 2025

In alignment with its mission to serve society’s most vulnerable, Parvaah conducted a compassionate outreach program at DAVO Old Age Home, located in Dwarka Sector 16. The facility houses 122 beds and currently cares for 113 elderly residents, many of whom were abandoned, found on the streets, or rescued from conditions of extreme neglect.

During interactions with Mr. Dev Goswami, the home’s caretaker, the team learned that the facility operates entirely on donations, preparing meals daily for around 125 people, including staff.

Alarmingly, over 95% of the residents suffer from mental health conditions, significantly increasing the demands of caregiving and emotional support.

To respond meaningfully to these challenges, Parvaah, supported by enthusiastic college volunteers, organized a dedicated engagement and support drive, focused on wellness, care, and dignity.

 Key Components of the Drive:

 Yoga Session:
A guided session promoting physical flexibility and mental calm, tailored for elderly needs.

Bhajan Program:
A soul-soothing musical session to uplift spirits, foster connection, and reduce isolation.

Food Support Donation:

300 kg of raw food materials were donated to support the daily nutritional needs of the residents.

 Elderly Care Essentials:
1,000 adult diapers were distributed, a critical need for bedridden or medically dependent seniors.

Impact & Commitment

This drive is part of Parvaah’s growing focus on elder care under Project Sahayata, ensuring compassion, inclusion, and continuity of support for our senior citizens.

The visit not only met urgent physical needs but also delivered emotional support, music, and moments of connection—reminding every elder that they are seen, heard, and deeply valued.
